fits and seizure

A febrile convulsion (fit)

A febrile convulsion can happen if your child has a very high temperature.

During a fit your child may breathe heavily, drool, turn blue, roll back their eyes, jerk their arms or legs but their body remains rigid.

Get medical help at once. Turn your child’s head to one side so any vomit can drain out.

Do not put anything in your child’s mouth during a seizure and keep a note of how long it lasts to tell your doctor.
