A fever is when your child’s temperature is above the normal temperature for a child.
Normal temperature for a child is 36.5 c to 37.2 c.
To reduce your child’s temperature
- Remove outer clothing.
- Sponge them down with luke warm water allowing the skin to dry.
- Encourage your child to drink lots of fluids, water or milk feed.
- Give your child temperature reducing medicine, read the instructions first and get advice from your doctor.
